Entering the building today to start work felt a bit strange but also exciting!
Everything is slowly disappearing in boxes, the hall looks bigger and empty and it seems we are really getting ready to move!!!
There are only 4 more days left for the before- and after school care and from next Thursday on we are starting our Holiday Program... Thursday we are taking the kids to the movies, and Friday will be a short day so we can all prepare ourselves for Christmas.
After that we can really move on, close the door and start all fresh at Copacabana School.
Julee had to take so many hurdles before this could happen, but she did it and at the moment it's almost unbelievable that we will be at Copacabana Public School from the 7th January 2013 on...
We will start the holiday-care from that date in Copacabana's School-hall while the fundamentals for the new building get started. The 23rd January will be another exciting day if everything goes to plan. The new building will arrive and they can start finishing it off for us to use...
What a great start of a New Year and we hope you are also looking forward to a nice, new and modern place for your kids to stay before- or after school.
The television is still there to watch all the Christmas movies together! |
no dress-ups till next year... but luckily there's still plenty of other things to do! |
many boxes |
Thanks for all the kids who have already donated a Christmas gift for less fortunate children.
The box is slowly filling up and it will make a huge difference to a lot of children!
The box is not full yet, if you want to donate something please do it one of the coming days.
Thank you!
Something that makes our kids happy....
Our "hohoho Santa", filled up with candy-canes. All of a sudden there are many kids around the office looking at Santa and doing their best to impress me or the other staff to get one....
but it's not Christmas yet, and we all have to be very patient :-)
and from now on we can start to count the days....
By the way, many people don't know me yet and some of you have already asked who I am...
I'm Jennefer and started working as a pa for Julee a couple of months ago. I'm only working 8 hours at the moment and besides my office work I will try to keep the blog and facebook regularly updated. Because I'm Dutch you might find my sentences or grammar a bit different, but I'm sure you''ll understand and I will find my way in it! I really enjoy working at Avoca School Care and am looking forward to see you all at Copacabana School!
