FAQ


How do I pay my fees? 
We recommend Direct Deposit to pay your fees. Please use your child's name as the reference. We also do accept cheque or cash. A receipt will be given. Fee's are to be two weeks in advance at all times.

What if my child can not attend on a day they are booked in? 
If your child is absent from School and will not be attending the Centre for a particular session, Centre Staff must be notified on:             43826601      or             0408 858 866       If we have not been notified and If staff are unable to find your child, a fee will be issued to your account for time spent.

What do I do when we arrive at the centre in the morning? 
All children must be signed in by the parent/guardian and the time of arrival must be noted on the sign-in form located at the front table. Children must be brought to the staff member after being signed in and the staff member made aware of their presence. No responsibility can be taken for children unless they are signed in.

What should I do when I pick my child/ren up? 
All children must be signed out upon departure and the time of departure noted on the sign-out form. The Centre must always be notified of any changes in regards to the person picking the children up. Please ensure that a member of staff is aware that you are departing with your child. Children must be picked up by a responsible authorised person. At the time of collecting your child, please check if there are any relevant notes or messages concerning your child.

What should I do if I have any concerns or feedback? 
Your feedback is important to us – please let us know if you or your child has any special needs at any time. Don’t forget to let us know the good things too! It is a real privilege to care for your child and we aim to provide quality care at all times. At any time your comments will be taken into account and may influence our future programming, planning or policy-making. Should you have concerns, questions, or queries, please feel free to talk to the Supervisor. We are here to assist you in whatever way we can so that your child’s stay at the Centre will be a happy and positive one. Similarly, if issues arise with other children attending our Centre please speak with the Supervisor who will attempt to deal with the whole issue. At no stage should any parent try to resolve issues with other children who attend our Centre or their parents – all Centre-based issues are best dealt with by the Supervisor. Confidentiality will be maintained.

Does Avoca School Care cater for children with allergies and other dietary needs? 
YES WE DO! We are a nut free centre and have no problems catering to your child's dietary needs. Just let us know upon enrollment.
What meals are provided by Avoca School Care? If your child attends Before School Care- we provide breakfast until 8am If your child attends After School care- we provide afternoon tea If you child attends vacation care- you are to provide lots of healthy food and a drink for your child.

What is our hygiene policy? 
Staff will supervise children in maintaining hygienic conditions at all times.
Children are asked and actively encouraged to wash their hands before eating or participating in food-related activities

What about sunscreen? 
We provide sunscreen when your child attends vacation care. No Hat No outside Play policy applies to this centre.

How Does the 50% Tax Rebate (CCTR) work? 
Most families are eligible for the tax rebate and will receive 50% of all out of pocket costs from attending the program. From July 2011 the CCTR will be paid directly into your nominated bank account weekly, fortnightly, quarterly or annually.

Can you explain the Childcare Benefit (CCB) ? 
Many families are entitled to a discount on their fees based on their family income. Call the family Assistance Office on 13 61 50 to see if your family is eligible.
