About Us
We offer a variety of activities in our weekly program which include outdoor games/arts & craft/dancing/cooking & gardening, as well as catering for children’s extra curricular sports such swimming, tennis, dancing & football. Children are encouraged in the afternoon to do their homework and staff are always on hand if help is needed.
Avoca school care is a sun smart centre that has a no bullying policy.
A healthy and nutritious breakfast and a delicious afternoon tea are also supplied with a wide variety of seasonal fruit & vegetables being offered. Our school care is a community minded centre that supports local businesses and where the staff and children are often fundraising for a variety of local charities.
Avoca school care provides a safe and nurturing environment for children and has been accredited with a high quality of care .At the end of a busy day we often hear children say to their parents “Can we stay a bit longer, please?’………...
GENERAL RULES OF THE CENTRE
1. Always listen and do as the carers ask.
2. Respect each others cultures and property.
3. No Hat no outside play (unless UV is very low)
4. Stay together and on the path when travelling to and from school
5. Stay in the boundaries – where Supervisors can see you
6. Helpers in the Kitchen with staff only
7. Walk inside no running.

atmosphere which promotes physical, educational, emotional, social and
intellectual growth.
We the service take an active role in caring
for the environment thru exploration and promote independence through play in a
natural environment.
We will guide all children to develop
knowledge of sustainability in our world with practices such as healthy eating,
gardening, minimising waste, recycling and reducing water and energy
consumption.
We the educators
will assist all children in developing an understanding and respect for the
environment and encourage critical thinking.
