Vacation-care: Movie Day!!!

When the evil spirit Pitch launches an assault on Earth, the Immortal Guardians team up to protect the innocence of children all around the world.

A brilliant start of the Holiday today..... We took all the kids with the bus down to Hoyts-Movies in Erina to watch ''RISE OF THE GUARDIANS".
I'm sure, that the temperature in the cinema must have been so much better than here in the Centre, what a warm day it was.
There may be even a chance that your child(ren) bought a little gift today for under the Christmas-tree, but that was something every child could decide themselves.

All the kids came back in with a big smile on their face and had to sit down for another surprise. One of the boys had his birthday today and treated all the kids (and us) with an ice-cream. There first day of the holidays was a perfect one... plenty more to come!

Tomorrow will be a short day at the centre. We will close at 4pm... for the final time we'll close the door of the old Avoca School Care-building... and I'm sure there will be no sad feelings, only excitement and happiness from our side!!!

Julee and all members of her team would love to wish you a Merry Christmas and all the best for 2013... For all ''our'' kids a well deserved holiday and loads of fun and presents (of course). We hope to see you all back in 2013 in a new environment where we can build up the most beautiful and loving School care-centre of the Central Coast :-)

packing...

Entering the building today to start work felt a bit strange but also exciting!
Everything is slowly disappearing in boxes, the hall looks bigger and empty and it seems we are really getting ready to move!!!

There are only 4 more days left for the before- and after school care and from next Thursday on we are starting our Holiday Program... Thursday we are taking the kids to the movies, and Friday will be a short day so we can all prepare ourselves for Christmas.
After that we can really move on, close the door and start all fresh at Copacabana School.

Julee had to take so many hurdles before this could happen, but she did it and at the moment it's almost unbelievable that we will be at Copacabana Public School from the 7th January 2013 on...

We will start the holiday-care from that date in Copacabana's School-hall while the fundamentals for the new building get started. The 23rd January will be another exciting day if everything goes to plan. The new building will arrive and they can start finishing it off for us to use...

What a great start of a New Year and we hope you are also looking forward to a nice, new and modern place for your kids to stay before- or after school.

The television is still there to watch all the Christmas movies together!

no dress-ups till next year... but luckily there's still plenty of other things to do!

many boxes
Thanks for all the kids who have already donated a Christmas gift for less fortunate children.
The box is slowly filling up and it will make a huge difference to a lot of children!
The box is not full yet, if you want to donate something please do it one of the coming days.
Thank you!

Something that makes our kids happy....
Our "hohoho Santa", filled up with candy-canes. All of a sudden there are many kids around the office looking at Santa and doing their best to impress me or the other staff to get one....
but it's not Christmas yet, and we all have to be very patient :-)

and from now on we can start to count the days....

By the way, many people don't know me yet and some of you have already asked who I am...
I'm Jennefer and started working as a pa for Julee a couple of months ago. I'm only working 8 hours at the moment and besides my office work I will try to keep the blog and facebook regularly updated. Because I'm Dutch you might find my sentences or grammar a bit different, but I'm sure you''ll understand and I will find my way in it! I really enjoy working at Avoca School Care and am looking forward to see you all at Copacabana School!

Christmas craft...

All kids are keen to do some Christmas-craft and with the help of our beautiful staff-members they have plenty of things to choose from.

And of course we have a Christmas Tree up in the Centre.
All the decorations are in, but we are still missing something......

Do you remember our newsletter?

''This year again at our centre, we have decided to help the underprivileged children in our area, as well as help our children discover the joy of giving.

So with the help of our wonderful parents & creative children we would like our families to go shopping with their children and choose a book or toy that is age appropriate. Bring it along to the centre where their child can make a special card for their gift. It will be then placed under the giving tree.

In return each child will get a special decoration to hang on their own Christmas tree as a reminder that they have brought happiness to another child this Christmas."

Thank you!

Summer Holiday Program

We have a very interesting holiday program to keep your kids occupied during the Summer Holidays. The only thing we'll ask you to do is to put your child(ren)s name down as soon as possible.

please, click on the document for a bigger size

The bookings for the vacation care can be done by phone (02-43826600 or 0481136641), by e-mail: avocaschoolcare@optusnet.com.au, or the child(ren)s names can be written down in the book at the reception of our centre.

Last-minute bookings will make it very hard for us to cater properly for the days. We also need certain numbers to keep the centre open, and having all the numbers in beforehand will help us to inform you in time about the low numbers so you are able to make other arrangements for your child(ren) if neccessary.

Rates: The fee will be $50.00 a day or $70.00 for an excursion-day. The Government Rebate will pay you half of this price back.

If you still have any questions, please let us know!!!

We are already looking forward to the Holidays, it will be so much fun...

Welcome...

Welcome to our new blog!

We have decided to shut down the website and start up a new blog. In this way we can inform you in a better and faster way about all new things that are happening at Avoca School Care!
We will be able to post photos from time to time and show you how much fun it is to be at Avoca School Care!!!

We have very busy but exciting times ahead of us. Of course Christmas is approaching and that's very hectic for everyone. The kids are into their last weeks of school and are looking forward to Santa... All the staff-members of Avoca School Care are looking forward to move into the new building at Copacabana Public School. It's all happening :-)

From Monday 7th January we are planning to be at Copacabana Public School. But watch this blog (and probably the best thing to do is to sign up with your e-mail to get regularly updates) and we will keep you informed about the progress we make!

The holiday program is finished and from next week on the kids can be booked in for (what I think) some amazing excursions and festivities at the Centre. You can find a copy of the program on the side-line, please have a look at it!

I hope the blog will give you all the information you'll need and you are more than welcome to post some comments on it. We would love to hear from you!
